4. Only 22% of businesses use project management software
“As someone who originally came from a chaotic organization with no project management habits at all, I can understand that few businesses are using software. However, as someone who now sees the benefits of project management, I just can’t understand how 80% of businesses haven’t utilized the software. We personally use project management software heavily to manage multiple projects, create project templates for consistent results, and get a high level view of statuses which is all the more important in our current remote environment.”
Quincy Smith, co-founder at Test Prep Nerds
5. Poor project management accounts for 55% of project failures
“It's important not to forgo managing your resources when planning projects. Improper resource management is responsible for three different ways that projects fail. Industry professionals reported that in the past 12 months: 21% of failed projects were due to limited or taxed resources, while 26% of projects failed due to resource dependency, and inadequate resource forecasting accounted for 18% of failures. Meaning resources were not properly managed during the planning process, which led to disappointing outcomes.”
Amanda Haynes, marketing manager at Ganttic
